What Is Scalp MicroPigmentation?

Scalp MicroPigmentation is a permanent concealer for the scalp & creates the illusion of fuller hair.

SMP is a cosmetic tattoo for the scalp that offers a non-surgical "cover-up" that effectively hides conditions such as thinning hair, alopecia, a receding hair line & scars.  SMP places pigmentation in a stippling pattern (tiny dots) that mimics hair follicles.  The density of the "dots" created in the SMP process is designed to produce shading & creates the illusion of texture and fullness.

SMP can significantly address the cosmetic issues derived from the following conditions:

  • Post-Partum Hair Loss

  • Post-Covid Hair Loss

  • Scars from Alopecia

  • Alopecia Areata/AlopeciaTotalis

  • Hair Loss After Major Surgeries

  • Women who are balding or thinning

  • Neurosurgery scars & scars from head trauma &/or surgeries

  • Post-Chemo Patients who do not grow back significant amounts of their hair after treatment

Common Questions ...

Scalp Micropigmentation

Is The Treatment Painful?

Because SMP is performed with a microneedle, a certain amount of pain is inevitable.  The general consensus is that the pain could be described as being sunburnt.  A numbing cream is used to ease any pain.

How is SMP Performed?

The SMP process begins by inserting  micro droplets of pigment into the upper dermis of the skin using a micro tattoo instrument.
